ProCase DTC Affiliate Promotion & Compliance Policy
For Affiliates & Promotional Partners
This policy establishes the core promotional and attribution requirements for affiliates promoting ProCase through the brand's DTC website. The purpose is to protect brand integrity, ensure accurate attribution, and maintain transparent and sustainable affiliate partnerships.
Rule 1 | Prohibited Brand Bidding
Affiliates must not bid on or purchase ProCase or related brand keywords through Google, Bing, or any other paid search advertising platform. This restriction applies to the following keywords and their close variants, including misspellings and spacing variations:
Prohibited keyword
---
[pro case ipad cover]
[procase official website]
[procase shop]
[procase ipad case]
[procase smart case]
[procase tablet]
[procase brand]
[procase kids case]
[procases]
[ipad procase]
[pro case for ipad]
[procase tablet cases]
[procase folio case]
[procase cover]
[procase ipad]
[procase rugged case]
[pro case ipad]
[pro case]
[procase kids]
[pro cases]
[procase.com]
[procase]
[procase store]
[pro case com]
[pro case tablet cover]
Requirement: Affiliates are expected to add applicable ProCase brand terms, variations, and misspellings to their negative keyword lists when running paid search campaigns.
Rule 2 | Prohibited Direct Linking & Attribution Manipulation
Affiliate attribution must originate from genuine user activity: the user intentionally engages with approved affiliate content, an affiliate attribution is generated, and the user is then directed to the ProCase website.
Affiliates must not create, overwrite, or manipulate affiliate attribution through unauthorized paid advertising, forced redirects, hidden redirects, or other technical mechanisms. Affiliates must not artificially generate affiliate clicks or overwrite attribution belonging to another channel.
Rule 3 | Advertising Language & Identity Transparency
Affiliates may introduce, review, compare, and promote ProCase products, but must not represent themselves as an official ProCase channel or otherwise create consumer confusion regarding their identity.
Unless expressly authorized in writing, affiliates may not use language such as:
- Official ProCase
- ProCase Official Store
- ProCase Customer Service
- ProCase Support
- Authorized Official Store
- Official Promotion
If an affiliate uses third-party traffic partners, sub-affiliates, or other promotional networks, ProCase reserves the right to request information regarding the actual traffic source and promotional method.
Rule 4 | Pricing, Coupons & Promotions Must Match Brand Authorization
Affiliates may promote only promotions currently authorized by ProCase. Affiliates must not:
- Create coupons independently or guess, fabricate, or modify coupon codes.
- Use expired or otherwise invalid coupon codes.
- Use internal employee-only coupons or expose customer-only coupons publicly.
- Describe an Amazon coupon as a DTC offer, or a DTC coupon as an Amazon offer.
- Add unauthorized discounts or incentives on top of an authorized promotion.
- Describe an offer limited to selected products as a sitewide or all-products promotion.
- Represent an "up to" discount as a guaranteed discount available across the entire website.
Rule 5 | Paid Media Promotion Management
General principle: Organic affiliate promotion is permitted under the agreed affiliate terms. Paid traffic is subject to additional controls because it can materially affect attribution, brand search activity, and promotional economics.
Generally permitted under standard affiliate terms:
- SEO and organic search content
- Product reviews and editorial content
- Coupon and deal pages
- Email/newsletter promotion
- Organic social media promotion
Paid media that may require prior approval and/or adjusted commission terms:
- Google Ads using non-brand keywords
- Meta Ads
- Pinterest Ads
- Display advertising
- Other paid traffic sources approved by ProCase
Affiliates wishing to conduct these paid-media activities should provide ProCase with basic campaign information in advance, including the advertising platform, campaign or keyword strategy, ad copy, landing page, geographic targeting, and estimated budget. ProCase may approve, reject, or apply specific commission terms to the proposed activity based on its incremental value and risk.
The following activities are prohibited unless expressly approved in writing:
- Brand bidding, including ProCase + coupon/discount searches.
- Brand-misspelling bidding.
- PPC direct linking to ProCase.
- Unauthorized retargeting or paid campaigns targeting existing ProCase visitors.
- Forced or misleading redirects.
- Cookie stuffing or other attribution manipulation.
- Adware, toolbars, or similar techniques that may interfere with attribution.
Partnership Principle
These requirements are intended to establish clear promotional boundaries while keeping normal affiliate cooperation straightforward. ProCase values performance-driven partnerships and is open to discussing approved promotional opportunities, campaign-specific terms, and additional support where appropriate.
