Should I Wait for iPad Pro Rumors 2024?
Release Date:
Rumors said that the new OLED iPad Pro is to be released in March 2024. This coincides with a report by Bloomberg's Mark Gurman that it's likely to be released alongside iPad OS 17.4 this March.
Price:
There are reports that the rumored OLED iPad Pro may be getting a price hike. In fact, there were even rumors that the price of the retooled 13-inch iPad Pro model could be as high as $1,800. But a recent rumor suggests that the price hike won't be as severe as feared, with Digitimes reporting that the increase will only be around $160.
Fellow site Laptop Mag crunched the numbers and concluded that Apple reportedly raises prices by 50 percent from the time it makes a tablet to the time it sells it, so we could see the price of an iPad Pro with an OLED display jump by about $500 to $700. On that basis, the 11-inch and 13-inch iPad Pros would cost $1,500 and $1,800, respectively.
Furthermore, that doesn't even take into account the cost of Apple's Magic Keyboard and Apple Pencil, which currently cost $349 and $129. But for now it's important to remember that these are just rumors.
Display:
The biggest design change for the 7th Generation iPad Pro is the OLED display, which has never been seen in a previous iPad design. It could come in 11-inch and 13-inch versions.
The OLED screen technology will be a significant improvement over the current 12.9-inch model's mini-LED technology, a panel that is supposed to be "sharper, brighter, and reproduce colors more accurately." Gurman also claims that the 12.9-inch iPad Pro's screen will be upgraded to 13 inches. Display analyst Ross Young made the claim back in January of this year.
Since then, there have been rumors that both new Pro models will be lighter due to the thinness of the OLED display technology itself. The 11-inch version would measure 249.7 mm x 177. 5 mm x 5.1 mm, while the larger model could be 280.6 mm x 214.9 mm x 6.0 mm.
Design:
The next generation of iPad Pro could feature a new glass body, which will help reduce weight. Gurman has previously said that this change will appear on the iPad Pro that is currently on sale, but could be introduced on the iPad Pro 2024. The change to a glass body will allow the upcoming iPad Pro to not only charge wirelessly, but also reverse wireless charging.
Additionally, this new iPad Pro has the potential to harmoniously integrate with the state-of-the-art 15W Qi2 wireless charger. With MagSafe wireless charging, iPad users will have multiple wireless charging options to complement the speed of USB-C wired charging.
Moreover, the iPad Pro 2024 will reportedly be powered by Apple's M3 chip, which utilizes TSMC's 3nm process to deliver significant improvements in efficiency and speed.
Camera:
It is speculated that the upcoming 2024 iPad Pro will come with a horizontal Face ID camera to further enhance its aesthetics and user experience. The device is also expected to come with a 48mp primary camera, a 12mp ultra-wide-angle lens, a Smart HDR 5 + Photonic Engine, and an enticing Cinematic Mode. It also comes with 'Action Mode' and autofocus on the front camera, symbolizing the epitome of elegance and precision in the realm of technological innovation.
Should You Buy A New IPad?
The highlight of the new iPad is the introduction of the M3 chip, which will undoubtedly improve the processing speed and overall battery life of the upcoming model. However, the current model of iPad is also worth purchasing, but if you have money and are not in a hurry, you can wait for the new iPad.
